Establishment of Deep Sea Port at Gwadar and construction of Coastal Highway linking futuristic international city of Gwadar with District Lasbela & Karachi were the mega project executed in the province of Balochistan. It was felt that the development of basic infrastructure at Gwadar will take considerable time whereas the sea port seems to commence operation in the year 2004 therefore Establishment of Uthal Industrial Estate (Phase-II) was proposed by LIEDA at the prime location of zero point so as to provide developed industrial plots to expected processing units.
