Established by Ordinance No. IX of 1984, the Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA) is a self-governing organization. According to the Government of Balochistan’s Law Department notification No. Legis.1-74/LAW/83 dated September 26, 1984, it operates under the Industries & Commerce Department. LIEDA’s primary objective is to promote industrialization in Balochistan overall and particularly in District Lasbela.

The Government of Balochistan has established the Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA) as an independent entity. The primary goals of LIEDA are to promote an atmosphere conducive to investment, accelerate industrialization, attract foreign capital, increase export volume, and create employment opportunities for locals.
