An autonomous authority for industrial growth
The Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA) was established under Ordinance No. IX of 1984 and notified on 26 September 1984, functioning as an autonomous body under the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Balochistan.
LIEDA develops and manages industrial estates across the region and facilitates investment through a one-window model — including the direct provision of key utilities to industry.
- Autonomous statutory authority of the Government of Balochistan
- Develops industrial estates and supporting infrastructure
- Facilitates national and international investment
What LIEDA sets out to do
LIEDA's core purpose is to promote industrialization in the region and, more broadly, across Balochistan. Its objectives include:
- Creating an environment conducive to investment
- Accelerating industrialization
- Attracting domestic and foreign capital
- Increasing export volumes
- Generating employment for local communities
One-window facilitation
Beyond developing estates, LIEDA acts as a facilitator for industry. It procures and distributes electricity and water to consumers within its estates through its own networks, and supports investors through allotment, lease and connection processes.
- Development and management of industrial estates
- Procurement & distribution of electricity and water to industry
- Allotment and leasing of industrial, commercial and residential plots
- Investor facilitation and support services
Board & administration
LIEDA is governed by a Board of Directors and administered by its officers and staff. See the leadership and team for key office-holders.
